Dry Eye is a chronic condition in which your eyes don't produce enough tear film for proper lubrication. You don't have to just grin and bear it. Treatments exist to restore the moisture in your eyes and minimize dryness and discomfort.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is utilized by Dermatologists worldwide. IPL for dry eye was discovered by Dr. Melissa and Rolando Toyos in treating acne and rosacea over 2 decades ago. They discovered that by treating Rosacea, Acne, Inflammation, and Telangiectasia, patient's Dry Eye symptoms improved: itching, burning, stinging, inflammation, bacteria, blepharitis, tearing, pain, discomfort and so on.

ThermaEye Plus IPL IPL is Intense Pulsed Light treatment for eyelid and skin inflammation that leads to meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) and chronic dry eye. Meibomian glands produce oil that mix with tears to lubricate the ocular surface and provide ocular surface stability. MGD causes an estimated 85% of dry eyes. ThermaEye sends pulses of xenon light energy to the skin surrounding the eye to constrict blood vessels, creating a soothing heat that liquefies hardened oils that have clogged meibomian glands. IPL reduces eyelid redness, stimulates healthy gland function, neutralizes bacteria and blepharitis.

The treatment also kills demodex mites near the eyes. After the IPL treatment is complete, doctors may manually express oil from the glands to restore normal oil flow in the tear film with forceps or MiBoFlo ThermoFlo. A side benefit of IPL is the reduction of dark spots, red spots caused by rosacea, fine lines, unwanted hair and promotes collagen production in the treated regions.

EyeLeviate LLLT (Low Light Level Therapy) uses pure biological LED waves as a light source. It is a special light signal transmission technology with no heat. LLLT improves cell viability, promotes metabolism, increases blood flow, white blood cell phagocytosis which repairs and rejuvenates. Also improves Rosacea, Acne, Inflammation that leads to dry eye symptoms.

MiBoFlo ThermoFlo is a thermoelectric heating device that generates 108 degree heat, which liquifies the hardened oils clogging the meibomian glands. Mibo treatment keeps your tears from evaporating between blinks by allowing the oily component from the meibomian gland to cover the entire tear film. MiBoFlo is combined with IPL, LLLT and other technologies to promote immediate comfort and relief.
