Dr. Julie Chang, O.D.

Founder & Optometrist

Dr. Julie Chang brings over 25 years of experience in comprehensive eye care. Born in South Korea and raised in Colorado, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry and completed a residency focused on geriatrics at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. She founded Optikos Optometry in 2001 and remains dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized treatment for every patient.

Outside the office, Dr. Chang lives in Valencia with her husband and two daughters. She is an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and enjoys RV travel with family and friends.

Dr. Joanne Myung, O.D.

Pediatric & Vision Development Specialist

Dr. Joanne Myung is a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) with a deep passion for supporting children’s visual health. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry and specializes in developmental and binocular vision for children and adults. She emphasizes the importance of comprehensive eye exams before school to ensure children are visually ready to learn.

Dr. Myung lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing tennis, and beach walks.

Dr. Austin Ofreneo, O.D.

Glaucoma & Specialty Contact Lens Expert

Dr. Austin Ofreneo is certified in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and specializes in fitting specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses for keratoconus and complex corneal conditions. A Northern California native, he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. His extensive externship training includes work at VA hospitals and specialized eye centers.

Dr. Ofreneo lives in West Los Angeles and enjoys traveling with his wife, golf, basketball, movies, guitar, and karaoke.

Dr. Joslynn Ho, O.D.

Ocular Disease & Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Joslynn Ho is residency-trained in ocular disease and certified in glaucoma care. She earned her B.S. in Bioengineering from University of California, Los Angeles and her dual Doctor of Optometry / M.S. in Vision Science (Magna Cum Laude) from the Southern California College of Optometry. Her residency at the University of Houston provided advanced experience managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, uveitis, and systemic retinopathies through collaboration with ophthalmology subspecialists.

Dr. Ho lives in Orange County with her husband and family. She enjoys cooking, watching TV, and spending time with loved ones.
